Electric Vehicle Service Contract

Coverage for those unexpected and costly breakdowns

Electric vehicles are designed with some of the most advanced technology available today. Should your electric vehicle experience a breakdown, a specialized technician and more expensive parts will likely be needed to repair it. An Electric Vehicle Service Contract pays to repair or replace covered components in your vehicle, offering you a more worry-free ownership experience.

This comparison shows different coverage levels across the Powertrain, Standard, and Comprehensive Plans.

Electric Vehicle Service Chart Whats Included

An Electric Vehicle Service Contract extends coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty period and often pays for repairs not covered by your manufacturer’s warranty. It also covers the cost of alternate transportation while yours is being repaired.

Manufacturer Warranty vs Electric Vehicle Service Contract
  • An EV Service Contract provides coverage for the cost of parts and labor associated with covered repairs
  • Provides coverage for the EV high-voltage battery (Comprehensive Plan only)
  • Repair your vehicle virtually anywhere—at your selling dealership or through any ASE-certified repair shop across the U.S
  • Transferable to the next vehicle owner, offering potentially higher resale value
  • A small deductible may apply per covered repair
